When Mannequins first closed it was difficult to find any clubs around Orlando playing EDM.  That is no longer the case as now nearly every venue has switched over at least in part.  These are our favorites:

-->If you liked 8TRAX mix of 70's Disco and 80's early-MTV music, where do you go? Many clubs listed in the "Motion" category below will throw in a few Disco & 80's classics but there currently aren't a lot of options in Orlando that I'm aware of:

RETRO ROOM - on US192 west of Disney.
BACK BOOTH - Friday night at midnight is 80's Night
INDEPENDENT BAR - Saturday nights 80's New Wave
THE LODGE - a lot of 80's you can sing-along too on Friday & Saturday nights.
THE ABBEY - visit their website for their monthly Friday night 80's Night.


MOTION
Motion was popular for its Top 40 format which by its very nature included a mix of hip hop, dance, line dance songs and more. This experience is the easiest to replicate around Orlando because its the format most clubs out there are playing. My recommendations:

Who is playing that Motion mix of Top 40, Hip Hop & Oldies?

Atlantic Dance Hall - open nightly except Sun/Mon
The Groove - Find this mix nightly except Saturdays which has gone EDM
Red Coconut Club - Pretty much a Motion mix all the time from both the band & DJ's


BET SOUNDSTAGE

When Pleasure Island closed nearly every club in town was playing Hip Hop.  Now it's a bit harder to find but it's still available.  Worth visiting:
